Like 2004, Ohio is a very important election state
this year. We have all had our lives touched and changed in one way or another by Ohio. Now we must win the election by bringing change to Ohio.

02. Why Ohio?

Ohio is a Microcosm of America
It's hard to speak definitively about Ohio. You probably know, or are, an Ohioan. You may have went to school in Ohio at one of the many universities. Maybe you were once a Buckeye fan (O-H, I-O). You probably still are a Buckeye fan. Culturally, Ohio is the middle of mainstream America. Many of the difficulties America faces are happening on a smaller scale in Ohio. The change that is happening all over the country (good and bad) is happening in Ohio, too.

Turning Ohio blue in the fall will win the election for Barack.

03. We Need You

The Urgency of Now
You have a unique connection to Ohio. You have friends or family which only listen to their own friends and family reaching out to them. It's why Barack's entire strategy for Ohio and the U.S. relies on people like us.

For us to win Ohio, we need people like you from all across America to step up and reach out to your friends and family in Ohio, let them know why it’s important to them that Barack wins this fall, and why we all need them to be a part of it. We simply cannot win without them.

04. Calling Ohio

Tips for Helping Your Friends and Family
The easiest way to help is to call your friends and family in Ohio and explain why it is so urgent that this fall they help elect Barack Obama. Here are some tips to calling your friends and family in Ohio.

1. Express the urgency of Obama's campaign and remember that the campaign is about inclusion. If you need information on specific issues, you can find it on the official Barack Obama site.

2. Encourage them to Donate If they support or are leaning Obama. Money donated to the campaign directly supports Ohio's grassroots organizations. They can donate at http://donate.barackobama.com
or they can donate by mail.

3. Make sure they are ready to vote. Surprisingly, the largest problem the Democratic party has is that it's supporters do not vote out of apathy or lack of motivation. Obama's grassroots campaign is focused on making it as easy as possible for Ohioans to vote. You can use voteforchange.com or rockthevote.com to register, find polling stations, or apply for absentee ballots.

4. Help them volunteer. This historical campaign is made entirely possible by regular people deciding to do what ever they can, large or small, to help. There are over 70 Obama offices in Ohio. You can help your friends and family in Ohio find their local office at the official Ohio for Obama website.
